I’ve been interviewed about my art many times over the past several years. Immediately below is the most recent interview on Corinne Basabe’s New York tv program, Corinne’s Picks. The six other interviews were conducted by Edwin Rutsch who founded the Center for Building a Culture of Empathy. Empathy is key to my art practice. I paint and write to communicate my thoughts and feelings about the world around me and my place in it. Art is a vital expression of who I am now and who I was during the most impactful times of my life. As my concept of self, family, community and socio-political views evolves, so does my art. My intention is that my artistic expression touches others in meaningful ways.
